After serving in the Colombian Army, Jorge received a business degree and worked as an international sales representative for a multinational company.

Realizing that he wanted a culinary career, Jorge enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu to pursue his passion for cooking.

While completing his studies, Jorge interned at a well known Institutional Bank Facility supporting the Executive Chef in all operational aspects of running a private restaurant including; menu creation, event planning and managing the kitchen in the absence of the Chef.

At the conclusion of his internship Jorge was hired as the Sous Chef.

During this time he was also the private chef for pop star Shakira. In this role Jorge created specialty cuisine from Shakira’s native Colombia and other ethnicities within the parameters of her diet. He also often cooked for her exclusive events and distinguished guests.

Following his work as Sous Chef and private chef, Jorge joined the Ritz Carlton South Beach. In this role he was responsible for creating gourmet fusion meals at the Americana Restaurant and training all new kitchen staff in this world renowned restaurant.

Currently, Jorge has established his career as a private chef cooking for several Bay Area athletes and working families planning and creating imaginative meals within the dietary parameters of each client.

Jorge also caters private dining parties and events all over Tampa and Florida.
